Created illustrations for the East Coast Pokémon Regional Championships for each city location. I designed illustrations for Baltimore, MD, Toronto, ON, Orlando, FL, Charlotte, NC and Hartford, CT. Each image takes a different twist to the city’s skyline/notable buildings and is inspired by different pokémon element types.
Centered around a Dark-Type theme, this showcases Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Includes, the Baltimore Trade Center, National Aquarium, Harboreplace Mall, and the Dragon Paddle Boats. Decorated around the border you will find Maryland’s state symbols, the Black-Eyed Susan flower and Blue Crab.
Inspired by a Grass-Type theme, this illustration shows a dramatic top-down view of Toronto’s tallest building, the CN Tower as well as the surrounding buildings - including Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada and the Toronto Railway Museum. Additionally, the sun and horizon line was used to subtly bring a “pokéball” look to the overall image.
As the flagship event, a grandiose vibe was established around a Water-Type theme. Some of Orlando’s most notable buildings are brought together, with the Orange County Convention Center in the middle - the 2nd largest Convention Center in the US. The ICON Park Ferris Wheel emanates that pokéball feel, similarly to Toronto’s illustration. Surrounding the border are tropical and pokémon centric elements, shells, palm trees, and of course oranges.
Known for being a business and financial hub, this bustling city design was steel-type inspired.
This city prides itself in its history. The design includes the Founders Bridge, Science Center, Riverfront Plaza, Museum of Art, The Gold Building, and more - decorated with notes of ghost-type pokémon.
