The Anime program in Madden NFL 24 - it was one of our larger and newer programs. It required close coordination and understanding between art and the game designers to produce the many features within the program.
The art for Genki Force was heavily inspired by popular anime, such as Dragon Ball Z, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, Naruto, and of course the football anime, EyeShield 21.
Hand drew NFL player, Jamaal Williams as his very own anime character. From sketch to line work in Illustrator, then brought into Photoshop for coloring.
Jamaal Williams art was used across socials, including a partnership post by Williams himself.
Jamaal Williams joins a the “Hero” team to power up and battle against the enemy team. I created a custom set of fictional players.
